help me with a good phone

ok im not that new to phones but i need some help

im very interested in getting a smartphone

like sidekick 3, mda(cingular 8125), the 8525, and so on

but i dont know which one to get

i dont wanna get the sidekick because i see it everywhere i go and im not that kind of guy.

the mda and 8125 are great but i heard that you cant make or recieve calls on it either. which is a biggy.

the 8525 is great but very expensive

im not sure but i think im going to purchase my next phone off of letstalk.com

can anyone give me a suggestion on a great, full internet feature, good camera, mp3 player, stylish

any carrier would be fine. any help is appreciated.
 
You definitely can make and receive calls on the MDA and I am positive you can on the 8125 as well. I love the MDA it is my only phone, and the most useful piece of electronics I have ever owned. I love it, I don't have a phone to my house anymore, this thing does it all, email, text voice internet, I even write my blog from it. But if you can afford it, the 8525 is just a better device in every way. I hope that helped you, and I am happy to answer any other questins you have about the MDA or smartphones in general, good luck you will never go back to a regular phone.

i meant when you do web surf you cant make or receuve calls when you do

and is the mda and 8125 the same phone?
 
No you can recieve a call when you are surfing the web, but I think the data connection is suspended until the call is over, which isn't a big deal. the MDA and the 8125 look different on the outside, but they have the same "guts" the exact same specs and function the same way, even though I have the MDA I am cingular, and I prefer the look and feel of the keyboard on the 8125. having said that I am basically in love with the MDA as much as person can be in love with a cell phone. but if you are in a city that has cingulars 3g service you will be happier with the 8525, however if where live that service is unavailable get the 8125. you may also hear the 8125 and the MDA referred to on the internet as the wizard, because it was sold by many companies around the world under different names.

yea i've heard of that wizard name for the mda

but the only problem is price range.

i'd totally go for 8525 but its too damm expensive lol. trhe mda is only 100 bucks well 250 with 150 mail in rebate.

but also i've been wondering i wanted a good plan and full interenet feature. but i want a cheap plan.

so far i see is 70bucks a month.(39.99 plan and 30 for internet) am i correct?

im aiming for like 50 lol is that possible? i mean any carrier with a good phone with full internet
 
You need to pick the carrier that has the best service where you will be using the phone, i.e. where you live, work, travel and play. No matter how good the phone is, if you have no service, it isn't any good to you at all.

And since you didn't say where you live, it is hard for me to make a recommendation.

If T-Mo is your carrier of choice, I would recommend either the Blackberry Pearl or the Dash. For Cingular, the Pearl, 8525 or the Blackjack. They all have their pluses and minuses so you should check them out and make sure they meet all of your needs.
 
Yeah, you don't want to get a phone and nice phone like that and have no reception. I think the Tmobile data plans are going to be less expensive than with cingular.
 
thanks again guys. i live in yonkers new york. about 10 minutes away from nyc.

i was looking into the dash and etc. but idk. the style of those phones arent me. i like the slide from the 8125,mda,and 8525. but i guess i can live with it

what are your guys plans like with your carrier?
 
That's true but I think in general Tmobile plans are less expensive, particularly for data plans. The MDA is great, and the sliding keyboard is very cool. It has held up very well over the 6 months I have had it.

cingular is too dam expensive.

probably going for t mobiles plans. and the mda but i have to get a good income b4 i get the plan/ phone lol

i think its going to be 70 dollars a month. any other better plans????
