For a class I have to complete an assignment analyzing the health care bill. I've been to the Kaiser website, looked at other various websites, along with reading scholarly articles to try to understand the bill. But it's so overwhelming! I am having a lot of trouble just wrapping my head around this and I need to understand this SOON, as the assignment is due next month.
I've divided the assignment into various parts: value/bundle-based purchasing, individual mandate, employee mandate, premium subsidies, and accountable care organizations.
For each part, I need to discuss the benefits and challenges by using factual information. I have a pretty good grasp on the individual mandate, but in my recent draft of the assignment was told I needed to present more information about the challenges with it.
For each part, where can I find information about how these will affect provider competition? Will this bill foster competition and better care, or present challenges? What information out there can help me understand this bill, and help me write my assignment?
