This makes me sound dumb but I have been unable to get my head around it? I know its something to do with the fact that banks overspend, lending money to people who could not pay it back, and therefore are short, meaning less borrowing...... im confusing myself as you can see.
Give me the basics? where it started?, when? how? why has it become a problem etc.... explain it simply.
