Going to avoid the sob story here, but I need some major help.
After 2 years of saving up funds, I finally managed to get a pretty amazing drum set from Craig's List, and I'm improving at a ridiculous rate (thanks to my percussion line in Concert Band). Now I want to find a way to get into Camp Jam, at campjam.com, but my parents can't really afford it.
We're not low income enough to qualify for the scholarship most likely, but we're not exactly rolling in cash either. A friend told me about some try outs to get a free week there, but I can't find any information on it... that's pretty much the only chance I have to get into the camp--they charge something like 580 bucks for 5 days, which is more than I paid for my drum set. This is clearly not going ot happen without that free ride.
Point of my question is: I need some way to get in free. I play the drums, and may be able to do vocals if needed, but I need help here. Someone please tell me how I can do this, and if possible suggest a drum solo that would work...
