Help me decide

I am gonna be gettting a new phone very soon. My question is which phone would I be happier with. I know I want a candy bar style phone.And wanna spend under 300 ishI've narrowed it down to the Samsung X-700 and the Moto SLVR L7. I love the Moto Phone Tools software I use to transfer pics, mp3 and wallpapers to my Motorola V635. Which is what I have now. Does Samsung have a software progam that gives me the same features that the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools does ? Also anyone have any experience with the Samsung X-700 ? Suggestions to which one I should buy is appreciated.
 
True you probably should be posting this else where but how important is the software to transfer files now a days. I have transfered tons of ringtones (mp3) wallpapers and such through blue tooth and i just use the program that came with my cheap adapter for my computer. Trust me i love the programs for motorolas for customization but MPT is really nothing special except to easily back up contacts.
 
If MP3 ringtones are important, the L7 only has 5MB to work with (I don't believe the L7 can use MP3s on the memory card as ringtones) whereas the X700 has 31MB. If it is not that important and if you are familiar with the Motorola UI, I would suggest you stick with the L7. I got to play with one and it's very nice.
