Help Me Answer This Riddle?

You meet a cross roads but you don't know which way to go. There are 2 guides, 1 always tells the truth, the other always tells lies. Again you don't know which guide is which. They will only allow you to ask either of them one question. Not one each but one in total. Asking either of them one question how can you make sure go on the right road? Please Help!

here's another way of putting what everyone else said:
Ask one which way tthe other one would say to go.
If you ask the truther, he will truthfully say what the lier would say, which is a lie, so don't go that way.
If you ask the lier, he will lie about what the truther would say, the truther would tell the truth, so the lier is lying, so don't go the way he tells you.

Ask one how the OTHER one would answer... and go the opposite way.

Assume the safe way is RIGHT

If you asked the 'liar' which way the 'truther' would send you he's say LEFT...

If you asked the 'truther' which way the liar would send you he'd say LEFT...

So the safe way is RIGHT!
