Help - Lost ability to defend attack in Assassin's Creed T_T?

in Memory Block 5 .. after doing Damascus and Acre missions, i went to Jerusalem ... but when i used my sword i could not defend against the guards ... when i hold the block button ... it just acts as if im without a sword it shows:

Vision
Attack Grab
blend


please help, do we loose our ability to block after the mission to Acre or its a bug?
