HELP itunes ringtones help!?

sooo i wan free ring tones for my blackberry and i know u can do it threw itunes but when i click on the song to make an AAC version it says itunes has stopped working and then i tunes shuts down.. how do i stop this ( i already went to libraries and DISABLED "HIDE EXTENSION FROM KNOWN FILE TYPES" )
