well me and my friend are both 13 and hes a big christian and im leaning to being agnostic and I asked him if there was a christian man and a shinto man from japan and if they both lead a good life and helped everyone they could and the christian man went to heaven what would happen to the shinto man and he said that he would go to hell so wow...if thats true god is pretty sadistic
and...well another question ive been reading at bible-truths and it says that all of the hells are fake and all the same place...so that basicity means that the jewish took the hell from the greek and well...you know it goes on

Shinto doesn't have as much teaching about the afterlife as Christianity, or even Buddhism. From my understanding, Shintoists combine Shinto and Buddhism, so views on the after life are more Buddhist. Not that most shintoist are devout believers in the way that Christians are.

You might want to take a peak at Pure Land Buddhism, as a counterpoint. In it, all you have to do is follow Amida Butsu, and you'll go to a paradise. Sort of like a way to escape the cycle of reincarnation, since enlightenment becomes harder and harder to reach. It's the thing that Christians don't like to admit exists. Another religion that offers salvation for merely believing in it. Best of all, you aren't threatened with eternal torment by a sadistic god, you just stay in the cycle of reincarnation.

nope its not because salvation isn't through works anyway, but because the "christian" man believed in God and the "shinto" man believed in whatever shinto men believe in, God only saved the one who knew Him

Nobody is worthy of Heaven. It is only through God's grace that we can have the opportunity of eternal life. And for this, you must go through Jesus. He shed His blood upon the cross that ALL can have that opportunity to enter in.

Ecclesiastes 9: 5 says :
For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

It shows there that when you die you are unconscious so if your unconscious you can't feel pain. And think of it this way. God is pictured as the father of all creation. If you had a child and they did something bad would you stick that child's hand on the stove as punishment? I would hope not. Now how can we say that we are better than God is. There is NO way he would punish one of his children by burning them indefinitely.
