Help - i'm getting no more sound!?

I sold my 1997 Ford Explorer to a good friend of mine. He had a stereo from an old car he had that he wanted in the explorer. I installed it, the same way I had the stereo put in before (I've done MANY car stereos, so i'm not a newb at it). I turned the new head unit on, and am getting no sound at all. Funny thing, for S**ts and giggles, I tried the old head unit, and it isn't working for that one either.... any suggestions?
 
lol that what i was gona say... but also make sure the fuses are ok and well i had the same problem in my mustang lol some cars come with a oem amplifier and there should be a blue wire with a white line on it make sure its hooked up or you will get no sound :D good luck
