Okay, because; USUALLY, she's swimming around her tank like crazy, having fun.... right?!?!
Well, I checked on my fish this morning after getting to my bedroom (wasn't sleeping there last night....) and my Dad had fed her a LOT of pellets. I fished a whole bunch out but then I noticed that she was acting funny:
She would lie at the bottom of the tank like she was dead, and then she would rise, struggling, to the surface where she would get some air. She was having trouble....
Since I have to leave for school soon I only had time to do a partial water tank change (it takes me, like, 10 minutes for me to let her put her in another container while I clean the thing; that's why I can never clean it fully, ever) and I cleaned a few of her rocks and got some of the dirt that was floating in there out.
However, she's still doing it. I just looked at her and she's sort of resting on a leaf that's on an ornament in her tank, but what else can I do to help her?!?!
I don't have a filter. Tropica's a Betta fish, but.... do you think a filter would help her? She's already very fat.... could she be sick?!?!
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
I REALLY need to know!!!
Do you think that it could have been ammonia? I use just regular (warm) tap water for my fish.... do I need conditioner?!?! (I don't HAVE any.... but neither do the fish in the tank downstairs. I thought it was fine!!!
)
When I come back home from school, should I do a PH (or whatever that is) and ammonia check?!?!
PLEASE, HELP!!!! I don't WANT my Betta fish, the cutest Tropica, to DIE!!!
