...school....!!!? So, I read this book about 8 years ago in 6th grade. It was quite inappropriate for sixth graders, but I need to remember the name:
Here are some points I remember:
1. He lived or moved to Johannesburg, Africa.
2. He was poor
3. Tsotsi (African gangsters) were mentioned in the book.
4. At one point, a group of his friends told him that he would be able to eat food if he came with them. He went with them to these guys house, where the men fed the boys liver. They then proceeded to have sex with young men, however the main character ran and escaped.
5. I remember him doing exceptionally well in school.
6. I remember that his for dinner they would eat plants that fed off of urine in the bathrooms.
Right now, that is all I can remember! Please help. It was sort of a self biography, I think, or maybe not.
