I seem to very prone to getting UTI's. It seems like everytime I turn around I have them and they are very uncomfortable to say the least. I have seen my doctor and he keeps giving me antibiotics and they go away for a while but then they come back. I end up having to take alot of Azo however, I am aware that does not cure the UTI's it only helps with the discomfort. I drink cranberry juice all the time and I am also taking those Azo cranberry supplements but I still get them. My doctor also told me that when I am done having sex with my husband to make sure I use the restroom afterwards and I always do but no matter what I seem to keep getting them. Is there anyone out there with the same problem and if so have you done anything different than what I have tried to get rid of them? I really don't know what else to do at this point. Anyone know???

Seems like your doing everything right except for increasing your water intake. You may wanna see Gyne I know some ppl have to be put on a long course of macrobid like for months at a time. Make sure your doc does a urine culture to make sure the antiobiotic he prescribed is the correct one for ur infection. I once had a uti for a month straight it was horrible they gave me an antibiotic that my uti was resistant to always make sure they do a culture and make sure u haven't used the azo cause it affects the color of ur urine. I know that will be uncomfortable but u want the correct antibiotic. U may just need a 14day course of antiobiotic macrobid always works on mine. Oh & idk if those Azo cranberry pills are liquid gel form but those always work the best & I take 2pills twice a day I haven't had one for about 6~7months and only got one cause I was prego lol. Hope this helps

I thought I answered this same question earlier. Ask your doctor for referral to a urologist who can do more testing to find out what may be causing your infections. Also, make sure you take the ENTIRE course of medication your doctor prescribes. If you stop in the middle, left over bacteria will spread and cause problems.
