About a month ago i was diagnosed with mild/moderate Seborrheic Dermatitis. My scalp was REALLY flaky and my hairline was thinning, and i have shedding ALOT of hair (due to weak/bad scalp conditions) and my hairline and scalp in certain spots were red (from scratching). My doctor prescribed me Nizoral 2% and he said "wash hair with Nizoral shampoo 3 times a week for a month". So I did, and i have seen NO improvement, in fact i'm pretty sure it's worse! It's exteemly embarrassing because i am still in school and we have to wear our hair up and i always freak out that someone can see my disgusting red flaky scalp (aswel as flakes which have made their way halfway down my hair). Also i do dancing and we have to wear our hair in a bun (which makes it so you can see my gross scalp, and it's VERY embarrassing). Also when i wear it up in a bun for eisteddfords (which go for 3 days) i have to have gel and heaps of it in my hair (to keep bun and hair neat) will this affect whether or not Nizoral works? Also am i meant to condition straight after rinsing out Nizoral, because i have been (the doctor didn't say if i was mean to or not) so that might of affected whether or not it works. Anyways, i need help because my scalp seems worse and way more red and i have an eisteddford tommorrow and well my hair will be gelled etc. and i want to get my scalp healed asap (not overnight but within a month). Any ideas of what i did wrong or why Nizoral didn't work and any suggestions of what else i could use.
