HELP! I am going to a civil war reenactment. Which side should I join?

Well, Lincoln was a great president and he did what's right for the country but I also think the Confederate uniforms are cool - they are silver. which side should I join? Union or Confederacy ?
 
Depends on which uniform you have on at the time.
What else would matter.
It not like you are really fighting or the outcome of the battle will be in question.
 
always go with the winning side. all the soldiers in the union had cool regulation uniforms. the confederate army was a ragtag bunch, some poor farmers wore their everyday clothes.
 
Well, since the event you'd be going to will NOT actually have an effect on whether the nation rises or falls, or slavery remains or is abolished, and thus the "Confederate" side isn't a morally bankrupt bunch of racist bastards...

Talk to the people running it, and see which side treats you better. Who knows, maybe, in this case, the Southerners will actually treat you to some "Southern hospitality." It does exist, despite the best efforts of Southern Republicans to keep the stereotype of ignorance and bigotry going.
