Ok, so I needed to return this dress my mum had bought me on her debit card. She gave me her card and told me to run in and return it. They took the card details and then asked me to sign a reciept. In a panic I faked my mum's signature (badly) and gave it back. I was then asked to fill in some personal details in which I then wrote my own name and signature and then I gave that back to the cashier. Will they realise they are signed by 'different people' and that my mums signature is forged? And if so how much trouble am I in? Im really worried so pls help if you can,
thanks

They wont care unless your mother complains about it.

I know somebody that did the same with his wife's credit card (with out her Knowing). She complained to the bank thinking someone she didn't know had done it, the bank then discover it was her husband, and then ask if she wanted to take the matter further, she didn't, and that was the end of it.

It won't matter. Your mom authorized you to return it on her behalf. The police would need the consent of the person whose named was forged (your mom) to press any charges against you.

You should be in huge!!! trouble. But the truth is that nobody probably noticed, and it really won't matter.

Do not panic !

Ok, it is not supposed to be done, but no shop worker will notice.

My Mum asked me to get a little bit of cash for her out of an ATM, and gave me her PIN.

Who the heck knows ?

I have signed cheques with my Dad's signiature, as he asked my to pay someone with his chequebook.

I sort of copied his signiature, and it went through the system no problem

you would only be in trouble if you forged the signature to gain goods by deciept, you wont be in trouble as they would have noticed at point of return, you returned goods an never got them by fraudulant means, you have nothing to worry about

Don't worry too much...they wont notice, it's only for their records - you should have said that it wasn't your card...actually your mother is at fault here, she committed the offence by giving you her card.
