Help from someone who knows perl!!!!?

I do not know perl,I am trying to learn though so I know just enough to edit scripts to work for forms, I need a script that can allow people to sign in with a user name and password (each having a different one) on a web site to see the status of a purchase. I have no idea how to get one or use it, if you can help me I would appreciate it! I need to get the script and know what to change for my site, if you offer this service for a reasonable fee please post contact info too, or if you know a place or site that does, thanks so much!!!!!

Perl is a good language, very useful.

do you have an existing system for purchase info? (and a place where the username/password information is kept?)

The reason I ask is that I'd need to know if you need a complete e-commerce system or just some kind of add-on utility that allows them to check their existing status.
