HELP! forgotten password unlock Samsung C3050 . Maybe master reset?

I need to unlock my Samsung C3050 as I have forgotten the pass code, I do not need to unlock it for a new network. I heard that sometimes master resetting your phone could by pass this. Anyone know what buttons to push (not just power off) to master reset when the phone is off? Thanks!
By master reseting will my phone be unlocked? In that I will no longer have to enter the password that I have forgotten?
