What shall I do? I'm desperate for help.. please read everything!
I was caught with an alcohol level of 0.82 by the police officer with the handheld alcohol level device, however, when I finally arrived at the station and I blew again and the alcohol level had sunk to 0.72. I asked the officer which level would be in the report, and he answered the last as this was a more accurate device.
After this I was taken to jail (never been to jail before, scary stuff). Being a total stranger to the American jail system I finally got some "friends" who told me that I needed to be bailed out, so I did the next day.
Another fact to the story, when I was caught I did a lot of tests, which I passed pretty good I believe. Everything went perfect until I blew the handheld alcohol tester.
I'm currently a student so money doesn't exactly grow on trees. I'm planning to fly back to Seattle to show up in court but don't know much about how everything works.

Should I defend myself?
Do I have a good case?
How would you defend yourself?
What would happen if I don't show up on court date (will I have a warrant, and would be deported next time I enter the U.S. border)?
Any recommendations would be helpful!
