Hi , I`m new at this kind of thing. If anyone sees this, I`m wondering if anyone has any idea of how to go about getting help for a fractured T-11 vertebra without any insurance. I can`t seem to find any help anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks, Jock

I would start with your local health department. Almost every community has clinics for free or reduced rate for those who need it. They can do basic x-rays and get the ball rolling. There have been people here in the past who had their surgery done for free when they didn't have insurance. Don't give up!

I hope you get the help you need.

Yes..ditto to what BlueAtlas said. I know they have those types of clinics in my area and I've been to them in years past when I was in severe pain, which I thought were gallstones. I was going to a technical school at the time (full-time) and working only part-time, not making much. So my income back then qualified me for totally free care at the clinics. As already mentioned, they also have sliding fee scales, depending on your income.

Thank you Emily for the courtesy of a reply. I live in Marathon in the Florida Keys. We`re still a little bit behind the rest of the country, and I`m not sure if we have a clinic down here, but I will research it. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Jock
