help finding a book in history of japan?

I need to look for a book to read about the history of japan not modern days like this time period. It can be about a person as well but they have to have done something good to benefit japans society. Like they invented something big or changed the rules to benefit japan. If you know just a book about old gime japan then that's fine too. The book can be about the culture they did that was diffrent from now or about a certain time era when they had samuries or something of that nature. Please no text books it has to be a book book at least 200 pages long or 160.
