Help does anybody know this film?

Im sure i've not imagined this. Hope i haven't.

Does anybody know of a film where a young girl is having some sort of audition. She is stood with a pianist. the pianist is hitting one note only. On each note hit, the girl is singing `me me me me me me me me me me` woefully out of tune. I thought it may have been alan parkers version of fame, but i doubt it.

Does anybody know this film? Its driving me up the wall!!!!!

Could it be Dirty Dancing?

The sister in it is taking part in a talent contest singing along with a pianist and she is woefully out of tune.
