Help crossing a transmission GM to Chevy?

My pickup is a 92 GM 2500 4x4, with a 4L80e trans. The transmission needs rebuilding, but I'd rather have another put in it. Does anyone know if there is a Chevy equivalent that would slip right in? Or if I can get a trans out of a 2 wheel drive without a lot of hassle?
 
just find another 4L80E, chevy and GMC are the same exact thing, just call around to junkyards

but thing is that its no telling how long it will last so if i were you i'd just get the one you have rebuilt so you know what you have
