Girl Is Lost

Well, the contract I have with my provider (Cingular) is running out soon, so I'm looking to get a new cell phone. While any cingular-provided phone is an option, I'm also open to just buying a phone separately as long as it'd be compatible with Cingular's service. Any help you all could provide would be most appreciated! Here's what I'm looking for:
- Good signal strength (I'd like a good PHONE over other stuff )
- Compatible with Cingular's service (I don't plan to change providers)
- Multi-band, at least GSM 850 and 1900 (I'm also planning for some time in Japan, so a 3G capable phone would be good as well... though I've yet to see a GSM/3G capable phone in my searchings, but I could very well be looking in the wrong places )
- Decent average battery life
- Connectivity to PC (through any/all of: IR port/available data cable/bluetooth)
- A well-made interface would be nice
- Camera would be ok, but not a requirement
- Preferably a flip or slide phone, but I'm open to others
- Color LCD screen, and if it's a flip phone, I'd prefer one on the outside as well as inside
- Speaker phone option would be good
That looks like everything... I'm coming off using a LG L1200 phone and I'm definatly looking for an upgrade over that. It has served me very well and turned out to be suprisingly rugged. My knowledge of cell phones is rather limited, so I'm turning to you all for any help you can provide. Thanks in advance.
