Help cant get my work email to notify me......

So I finally got my work email ( I own my own online & store front business) so its on a mail server ( netfirms.com) and its suppose to check the mail every 5 mins but its not letting me know when I get an email All my other emails are working fine.....
can anyone pls help me?????????


I have the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant

In the email app settings, have is it set to check every 5 minutes?

Do you ever get new email notifications in the notification bar?

Do you get new emails when you go into the app to view the emails?
