HELP - Cannot Connect To Holux GPSlim 236 via Bluetooth

I just got my Holux GPSlim 236 and I tried to pair the device and entered the default pass key (0000) and it says "Unable to pair with Holux GPSlim 236"

I have a Nokia E70-2

I just tried pairing it with my girlfriend's Sony Ericsson W810i and it worked.

Now I'm REALLY confused.

I have the same GPS and I used it yesterday with my E-62.

No idea. Try turning the bluetooth off and back on.

That is weird; I have the same GPS and it pairs fine with my N80.
As a last resort, try a hard reset?

Thanks for the replies, but I have tried both methods and still can't get it to pair.

I hate having a new toy and not being able to play with it.

Well after some searching I found another forum that someone linked here.

Seems like there are a lot of problems with the Holux GPSlim 236, one of them being losing the bluetooth connection. I don't know why it would connect on one phone but not another. I'm going to try pairing it with my Nokia 6820 when I get home.

Is the bluetooth on your phone set to visable? I've had this unit with several phones without any problems.

Yes. I contacted the person who I got it from to see if they can replace it.

it's been extremely reliable w/ my 6620. TomTom even prompts to start bluetooth because I normally run w/ it turned off to save batteries...
I'd bet you have a bad one...
