Im looking into buying my first car. I found one that I really like its a 1996 Chevy Blazer at a friends car repair shop. It has a bout 200,000 miles on it. I can probably get the car for $200 but it needs a good amount of work on it. My parents surprised me and are having the water pump replaced so the engine can be tested. It may need a new engine but we aren't sure. I only have about $1,200 and my parents told me that they would pay for half of a car I found. But I don't know if this will just be a money trap or if I should go for it.
