Hi

I had three silver mollys- one pregnant. The pregnant fish died after giving birth and another followed with what i believe was new tank syndrome. Only one of the four babies made it and it was ok with the one remaining molly. Now my molly has died unexpectedly and i am left with this 3 week old baby molly who has no signs of ill health unlike it's now deceased tank mate. I was wondering if i should now just leave the molly to grow on it's own as it has already been through its mother and other fish dying or should i give it company by putting tetras or other fish in the tank.

As for the tank, i am about to carry out an emergency water change in case it was a problem with the water that caused this latest death. Also, i have never dealt with baby fish before and especially one tiny one on its own. Any tips?

dont overfeed it, be careful with the water changes, and there is no such thing as new tank syndrome its shock or you bought a diseased fish. im soon to be a molly fry owner but after 3 weeks im certain it would still be pretty small if its not too small to be eaten then you can put some tinier fish in their but if its not planted id put some foxtail in their or wysteria for the fishy to hide
