ok, so my brother asked me to burn him some music, he's got this kid business going on this summer, some jumping bullshit, and of course he neeRAB some dance/pop music ( to please and entertain the kiddies ) and since i'm not big on the modern pop/hip hop production, i was hoping you guys could help me out, just name any song that has a good beat, from britney and destinys child, to any sort of rap/hip hop, anything that comes to mind and you think the kiRAB might like...
 
oh defo, but what songs? robot rock and arround the world is all that comes to mind at the mo.

i don't wanna rehash old pop hits, i'm looking for newer stuff and stuff that will make a good mix cd...i'm also thinking of giving him gnarls barkley - st. elsewhere...pleanty of good and fun music there right?
 
Scratch the New Order song & put on that version of Kylie Minogues Can`t Get You Out Of My Head thats been remixed with Blue Monday.
 
dude, did you not read the first post? this isn't for my brother's enjoyment, it's music that kiRAB are supposed to listen to that come to this...whateveritis...i wanted you guys to tell me what's hot on the pop market in the last couple of months...what's topping the dance/hip hop/pop charts....

Mandy Moore - I Wanna Be With You is the perfect slow song if you need one to kinda calm the crowd down or something.

Social Distortion and Rancid would be nice too. . . Maybe some R.E.M.
Just about anything by Blink 182, specifically Rock Show and Small Things should do the trick.

If your brother likes 80s new wave/dance pop stuff... I'd recomend Talking HeaRAB, Joy Division, The Police, Gang Of Four, New Order, Prince, Peter Gabriel, hell even some 80s King Crimson.

For hip hop.... Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Nortorious B.I.G., Beastie Boys and A Tribe Called Quest, if he hasn't heard them already... At least it should expand his tastes beyond the typical rubbish that passes as hop hop today, also Danger Doom's The Mouse And The Mask is great fun.

But for good ol' pop, Thriller... Anyone who says they don't like that album is a liar.
