I have just bought the box set of the first 3 Hellraiser films, in the Lament Box.

I love these films. They are so original, in as much as the Cenobites do more than stalk 'n slash.

Plus, Clive Barker is a genius... and v. good looking.

I love the Abarat books too......
 
Gets worse than Just Hellraiser 4... Checking IMDB it says its up to 8..

Classic example of ruining an excellent series of movies, it could have been left at 3!!
 
I got the whole series recently.

1 & 2 - Great
3 - Ok
4 - Dreadful
5 - Ok
6 - Surprisingly great, continues Kirtsy's story :D
7 - Ok
8 - Getting tired now
 
There are synopsis for all the films over at www.imdb.com but really you'd enjoy the films far more if you can watch them without any idea of the story.

The first three Hellraisers are essential viewing for horror fans.
 
I watched the 5th film a fwe months ago and all I could think was that the writer had been playing the computer game Max Payne whilst he was writing it.

I've got all 8, started going downhill after the second one, i thought. It's a collection that you just have to get though. Pinhead is one of the coolest characters around :)
 
I was able to get the 5th film from Amazon, but I couldn't find any of the the later ones. I see they now have Hellworld which I gather is the 8th film and not available back when I had an Amazon sub - but only as region 1.
