I am new to this forum, just bought a s50 2005 other bikes I have owned a eliminator 250 and a marauder 800. Question How do I get to the battery of the s 5o?. Question is there a storage compartment under the seat?

As far as battery removal, I haven't had to remove mine yet, but I found these instructions online.

1. Place the bike on the sidestand.
2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the battery negative (-) lead.
3. Remove the screw securing the battery positive (+) cable terminal protector, remove the protector
4. Remove the bolt and disconnect the battery positive (+) lead
5. Remove one of the front lower bolts securing the battery case floor in place.
6. Either hold onto the battery case floor or place wood block(s) under it to support the floor when the other bolt is removed.
7. Remove the front lower bolt from the other side of the case.
8. Lower the battery case floor and slide the battery out of the case.
 
Bottom end of the bike, just in front of rear tire. Battery box has kind of a "trap door" on the bottom. No compartment under seat, just a huge spaghetti factory.
