hello I'm having a scare

I found a pea sized hard lump in my cheek, its not painful and not near the parotid duct. I thought it could be a lymph node but why so big. A year ago i went in for acute chest pain and found a nodule in my left upper lung. The ER Doc didnt think much of it, but i failed to follow up on it. I'm just worried becuz i have had a lot of rare things happen to me in the past such as purpura and a brain tumor that was benign. So i was thinking wat should i do. Btw i ruled out a parotid gland stone didnt go down with the doctors instructions.
 
well now my doctor thinks it is a fat nodule and is going to monitor it for the next month and i got another xray of my lung results pending.

Update: lung nodule gone
