ide, 2x1g ram, pny Ge Force 9400 g? Hello, i build a computer, p5b motherboard, e5200 2.5 duo. hard drive wd400 ide, 2x1g ram, pny Ge Force 9400 g?
and a lg DVD burner 22x sata . put all together and no video , monitor stays asleep ( light stays yellow) help.. 500w power. video card and DVD works ( i tested them in old computer) power tested.works i take ram out and motherboard beeps ,, put back in and no good... fans and all light on case work. help please

OK 1 long 2short beeps.... i put ram back in and no beeps .. but no pic monitor asleep!! and my mother board don;t have a video spot... just the video card pci express. thank.. motherboard is ASUS P5B how about the jumper setting???? i don't know!! help

ok. i did that and no beeps with one stick of ram.and i tryed in all 4 slots no beeps on motherboard!!!!!!!!!! help

Well, here are some diagnostic steps to try.

Is your video card properly powered?
Have you tried this setup with another video card?
Have you tried disconnecting the hard drive and optical?
Have you tested the CPU? Have you removed and checked it thoroughly, and reseated it?
Is your heatsink properly attached to the board and sitting on the processor properly?
Did you remember to connect the 4-pin power up by the PS/2 ports?
Have you tried this with different RAM altogether?

The fact that you get post beeps with no RAM bodes well, and points to both of those sticks being incompatible with the board, or bad.
