I'm still fighting to get surgical correction on my lurabar spine. Was wondering if anyone has any new news re: artificial discs?
Right now I ned a foraminotomy/Laminectomy with fusion.
I know at one time they weren't considering two level lurabar disc replacement but I was wondering if I could find a way to had L5S1 fused with artificial disc above at L4L5 to preserve range of motion?
Anyone have any ideas?

I think more research is being done on fusion using flexible materials rather than on artificial discs.

Lurabar ADRs in the US dont exactly have a very good track rating right now, and you may find it very difficult to get your insurance to cover it. And yes, many states were offering more than one level ADR. Texas is certainly one of them.

Also, you back pain may be due to "movement". If this is the case, ADR is not for you.

I was scheduled for ADR at l4/l5. I had a fusion instead. My surgeon now believes that the fusion was the best answer for me, and that movement with the ADR may not have been good for me.

Tons of stuff to research these on the web. You wont find too many lurabar ADR people here at all, and those that have.. have problems with them. ADR for cervical is completely different, and has good success ratings.

good luck.
