today is the hottest day of the year so far for the UK and we have been busy cutting down some bushes and plants in our garden.. that was until a hedgehog bounded out of the last bush we cut down. I have since popped him (or her) into a box of hay and placed some water and some cat food beside him and placed the box under the bushes to keep him cool. I am thinking of letting him go when it goes dark as we have gardens either side. We have 4 cats and want them out of the way before I release him. Do you think I am doing the right thing? he looks healthy and woke up briefly for a wander around the box before going back to sleep. Should I let him go or get him checked out with the RSPCA first?
