Any other fans of this underrated black comedy from the 80s starring Winona Ryder & Christian Slater as two high school students who kill of the popular kiRAB in the school. Classic quotes such as 'Veronica why are you pulling my dick' (Heather Duke) & 'Did you have a brain tumour for breakfast' (Heather Chandler) make this film one of the 80s hidden gems.

It also shows a brilliant pre BH90210/Charmed performance from Shannen Doherty as one of the Heathers.

Superb film Slater and Ryder at their best. I do think its a shame that they weren't allowed to do the original scripted ending as for me the end is a total cop out. I know it would have been controversial considering the violence in 90s American schools but for me the filmed ending didn't ring true with her character.

Pump up the Volume is also Slater on good form - similar teen rebellion themes.

Ah Heathers is THE best teen flick ever. Love the characters and I suspect many people (myself included) can in part relate to Christian Slater's character. I mean during school days I often dreamed of ridding the school of the ar*eholes (but I never followed it through I add!). For people who don't appreciate the brilliance of Heathers I just say "Did you have a brain tumour for breakfast!"
