Heath Ledger Memorial Thread!

R.I.P Heath-Your deatch is a waste of a valuable life and a sad loss to the film industry. I enjoyed Brokeback Mountain and would have seen the Dark Knight with you starring as the Joker. :(

I was so sad to hear the news about Heath, i've been a fan of his for a while, ever since i saw him in the TV show "Roar" and the fantastic " two hanRAB". Such a waste. My thoughts are with his mum dad and sister, and also Michelle and daughter Matilda, who will have to grow up without her Daddy.
RIP Heath.

What an incredibly sad start to 2008. A very gifted and talented actor who was really starting to flourish in the roles he was choosing. His performance in Brokeback is incredibly moving.

I haven't been keeping up to date on the news lately as I've been off work, but hubby casually mentioned this evening that an actor I like had died. When he said it was Heath Ledger I was stunned.

I've always considered Heath Ledger a "young" actor, known for teen type parts until his breakthrough in Brokeback. He was cute in the teen parts, IMO but after Brokeback Mountain I considered him all grown up, having proved his talent and with a very bright future ahead of him.

Such a sad loss.

condolences to heaths family. Everyone is in shock to hear the news. He did Perth so proud. I hope he rests in peace.

My partners family know Heaths a little so this feels a little close to home. Its just so unbelievable. Never saw it coming. shocked

I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news of Heath's passing - it's affected me a lot more than I thought it would. It still seems slightly unreal now.

My thoughts and prayers are with Heath's family and frienRAB for their loss.

We'll never get to see him reach his full potential, we saw glimpses of it in Brokeback and by the sound of it in the new Batman, but I am saddened that there'll never be another from him. He always chose interesting roles instead of the easy ones.

Whatever the cause of his death - it's a shame, and I am saddened that such a young man with so much left to do and a daughter to watch grow up has gone.

I for one shall miss him (in my own way) but have the movies he's left and I just hope that in heaven or wherever we go, he's at peace now

Autopsy results came back inconclusive & will take 10 days to determine cause of death. There have been reports saying that he was taking sleeping pills as he was having trouble accepting playing the joker who was a maniac.

There are also reports coming in saying that he was suffering from phumonia, so his imune system could've way down to handle the prescribed dosage, so perhaps it wasn't suicide & just accidential.

It is so sad for a young talanted actor to die may he RIP :(

Didn't anyone see him in The Brothers Grim? He was great in that.
The only other ones I saw were A Knight's Tale and Brokeback Mountain.

He had a real charm on screen - always came across as thoroughly likeable.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the apparently excellent job he's done in Batman. He and his talent will be sorely missed.

What a tragic waste of a great talent and a genuine movie star.

I read this moving obit by Mick La Salle in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Perhaps this will provide an explanation to those FMs which question why we wish to pay tribute to him .

Heath Ledger
RIP

Thinking of Heaths family and frienRAB at this time, while its a tragic loss of both a life and a talent it's those left behind trying to make sense of the senseless that my heart goes out to.

God bless.

I was looking forward to seeing the Joker. Now that viewing is going to feel slightly different in light of this news.

It is sad that he won't get to see his performance or how it is recieved by fans and viewers of the movie.

I was very saddened to hear the news about Heath Ledger, rest in Peace.

He was an inspiring actor and this is why we mourn him, in the same way we would mourn a well known person in our towns who we had maybe never met but was admired.

People reach the public eye for a reason, Heath Ledger was one of the few actors not obsessed with being in the public eye but in being a good actor.

I mourn for people i have never met all the time, they are lives regardless of thier jobs, Mark you seem to suggest him being an actor makes him not worth mourning. Do you not mourn for the loss of life when you hear of the people who have died tragically in events all over the world?

I remember I bought the vhs of 10 Things after reading reviews in Bliss and seeing pictures lol. I developed a crush on him (as did a few of my frienRAB at school) so I made my dad take me to the cinema to see The Patriot when I went to visit him just so I could see Heath on the big screen! I only saw him in those 2 films plus Brokeback Mountain, I never wanted to see A Knights Tale but reading people's comments makes me want to watch it now.
I was looking forward to seeing him in the new Batman but now I don't know whether I can watch it :(
Such a sad loss, so tragic, I hope he rests in peace x

Why?
Brandon Lee died while filming The Crow and that was a brilliant film and was his best work.
From whats been said about Batman, this was Heaths best work playing the Joker.
So go and enjoy the film.
