Heath Ledger Memorial Thread!

Is that the one where he played a gay cyclist? Never heard of that before I read the stories this evening!

The sad thing is this news will probably make me look out Heath's movies more than I would have done - oh dear, but perhaps human nature :o

His make-up as The Joker reminRAB me of Brandon Lee in The Crow... kind of sad and spooky :(

Yeah, he was the gay cyclist, I thought it was ace at the time because it had ex Heartbreak High actors in it. :o

Same here, I've seen Brokeback and Ten Things but I can't say I've watched many other films he stars in, that I've noticed anyway.

Oh that is spooky now you mention it. :(

I'm going to ignore the bickering and just say I think it's sad when anyone dies so young, with a young family. Does anyone remember him in Home and Away, which character was he?

i couldnt believe it when i heard the news! a sad loss indeed. have to say out of the films he did knights tale is one of my all time faves! he had great potential, sad that it should come to such an untimely end!

Surprisng news. I thought he was pretty good in The Patriot - everything else so-so (haven't seen Brokeback).

The new Batman movie will be even more interesting now.

This was very sad news!
Heath was a good actor, Hints of River Phoenix again in this.
A tragic young life cut short!
R.I.P Heath Ledger!

I'd just like to echo worRAB which were said earlier today...

"A young man who burned the candle at both enRAB, but, oh, the flame was so beautiful".

A beautiful spirit, a wonderful man, a doting father, a great actor, too young to go.

You were loved Heath and you will be dearly missed. I hope you find peace Heath, wherever you are, somehow, someday.

I think it is very unfair that this thread has been bowdlerised. I left some comments here a few hours ago that perhaps werent complimentary to Ledger but they were nevertheless my opinion. Huh. I guess you are only allowed to have one opinion on here then eh?

Was shocked to hear this news, very sad indeed, he was excellent in Brokeback Mountain and had the potential to be one of the great Hollywood stars. This is so sad, especially as he has a young daughter. RIP.

Very sad news, really looking forward to seeing him as the Joker, kind of weird that that will be his swan song but he's supposed to be very good.

I really loved him in Brokeback Mountain and 10 Things. Think he could have been great, only 28 and already Oscar nominated.

Where did I say he was more important? Please I'm really interested to see where I have actually said that. Why is it for someone people you have to be nice about one person and not another?

I was talking about common decency. Something some people obviously don't have.
