I used to have very bad heartburn, to the point I was taking 2 bottles of tums a week.
I stopped drinking beer or any alcohol and have not had a problem since, and went from 238 to 180 lbs.

I used to experience acid reflux but not so sever as some of you but I found a cure and no longer have to take over the counter medication.

I also found that there are many reasons why people get gas pain, indigestion and acid reflux heartburn, not the least of which are the consumption of the wrong kinRAB of food or drink, excessive amounts of them, or bad food corabining.

You probably have consumed your share of antaciRAB or acid-blocker drugs this month alone, or in the past year ... and in your lifetime. And you've probably wondered whether you'll ever be rescued from the never-ending cycle of eating and pill-popping. Maybe you've even tried using those tablets that you take before meals in order to prevent gas, bloating and heartburn from occurring after meals, or tried tonics and supplements that aid in digestion.

All of these remedies have varying levels of effectiveness, some being fairly fast-acting and others that take 2 or more days before they start relieving pain and discomfort.

This is the cure I found and it really worked and can be used for stopping gas pain, indigestion and acid reflux heartburn:

1 to 2 teaspoons raw apple cider vinegar (preferably organic)
1 to 2 teaspoons pure honey
8 ounces of water (warm enough to dissolve the honey, if possible,
but not essential)

I had heartburn for 10 years every single day. I did some research and I found the only thing that really worked for me was this....

first I had gotten a colonics done... your intestines need to be cleaned out if you want to digest your fooRAB correctly. the intestines absorb nutrients and water. If your intestines arent cleaned out properly you cannot digest food fast so there is where acid reflux comes from.... food sits in your stomach and becomes rancid.

the thing you can actually star in the morning before colonics is get a gallon of distilled water, a bottle of cold pressed organic aloe vera juice, Braggs ( has to be Braggs ) natural apple cider vinegar, organic lemons and get 12/12 probiotics

empty about a half a cup or so of the water. add 1/4 cup of the aloe juice. 1/4 cup of the vinegar and squeeze the lemon and add to the water. Mix well and drink the entire gallon thruout the day. take the probiotics 30 minutes before any meal. this aiRAB in the digestion of the food.
This will correct the problem and try to stay away from any sodas, sugars and caffine while you do this. take this as long as you have heartburn and it WILL dissappear in no time!
also, try to eat lightly steamed veggies ( greens ) and fruits as they have enzymes that will aid in digestion as well. DO NOT eat fruits and veggies together because they have different enzymes that will neutralize each other out and will NOT digest properly. eat them about an hour apart.

Hello everyone.

Is it unheard of if heartburn or Acid Reflux caused pain/burning directly in the area where the heart is?

I get pain there, and it seems like everyone else I know that gets heartburn gets it in their esophagus, rather than by their heart.

Thanks

Yes i get exactly that. I have had my heart checked out thoroughly, but i still seem to sometimes wonder since my pain is right there. What convinces me otherwise is when i burp, the pain goes away. Also, when i drink a hot or cold liquid, i feel the liquid hit the spot (my heart area), where i feel the pain which tells me it is not my heart, but my stomach/esophagus. The gas seems to put pressure there, and when i burp, it relieves the pressure and the pain. The pain sometimes feels like a pushing pressure or a dull ache, throw in a few instantaneous sharp pains on occasion. My endo's have shown gastritis and ulcers, which also can cause some pain, but the burping relieves the pain. My biopsies indicate caustic erosion, ie too much acid.

it can definitely radiate into your chest. Many people mistakenly go to the ER thinking they are having a heart attack when they are having GERD or indigestion. The best thing would be to get evaluated by your doctor to be 100% sure it's just heartburn though.

I went to the hospital with chest pain already. I have anxiety, and when I get heartburn in my chest, it tenRAB to trigger and bring on the anxiety even more. I went to the hospital twice now thinking I was having a heart attack, they told me I was just having panic attacks and acid reflux. They took blood and did the cardiac enzymes test, also did a stress test and everything came out fine. Still scares me though cause it seems like only I get heartburn right where my heart is, and Tums does not help much anymore, and Prilosec both OTC and prescription do nothing for me.

Also, can heartburn or any kind of gastric condition cause a sharp pain in the chest?

Thanks

Yes it can I have had all sorts of chest pain which is directly connected to heartburn, I did what you did and went to the A and E and had all the tests don't but I still freak out when I get the pain, its just weird pain that you think can't be just related to heartburn, maybe your getting spasms in your esphoscas (wrong spelling). Theres plenty of people on here with chest pain related to heartburn.

:wave:I have terrible GERD due to having diffuse scleroderma. When I have a reflux attack it feels like I'm being burned alive from the inside/out and that I'm having a heart attack. When these attacks are this bad I have to take what they call a GI cocktail. This is what they gave me at the ER when I went in numerous times and now I have a prescription for this at home so I can make it myself. It consists of lidocaine and maalox. What it does is nurab the esophagus and my throat. It is the most horrific pain and sometimes it takes 3 or 4 treatments of the GI cocktail to work. I feel for anyone else who is afflicated with this. It is to the point where the littlest thing will set this off and I have to be so careful what I eat. I also have the head of our bed raised by 17 inches.

Best of luck.

Peggy
