Hello, health boarRAB! I recently posted a thread concerning my chest pain and other symptoms searching for advice and guidance. Well, I went to the doctor the day before yesterday and I explained (in great detail) what was going on with my body and he seemed very concerned. Finally, someone actually took me seriously! After being misdiagnosed for 2 and half years I finally felt like I was getting somewhere. The only problem is that he really could not tell me what was wrong. He heard 2 heart murmurs via stethoscope and said that one was systolic and that one was diastolic. He insisted to give me shots for my nausea that I was experiencing with my chest pain. I was convinced I needed an echocardiogram, however, and he said, "Well you can leave here and go to the hospital and get them to order one!" Clearly, he was frustrated because I didn't want the shots. After leaving there I went to the ER and sat in the waiting room for 8 hours! Then a doctor finally saw me and I told him what the other doctor said about the murmurs. He listened to my heart closely with a stethoscope and then told me that all he heard was a faint mitral murmur and that I should be fine. Then he ordered a stress test after I clearly asked for an echo and he agreed on it.
