...your opinions)? I am curious as to the logic of this. Everyone lists all of the multiple horrendous problems associated with any dog that isn't bred for the purpose of showing or bettering the breed. If all supposed byb dogs had multiple health problems, wouldn't all of the shelter dogs that everyone seems to push have the exact same chances of having health problems? I just find it very hard to believe that practically every dog not bred for excellence will have debilitating health issues.
Also, everyone says how much cheaper shelter dogs are than buying from a byb. Maybe it is different in different states, but I cannot find a shelter dog that is under 10 years old for less than 300 dollars. I can get a puppy in the newspaper for cheaper than that, so what is the incentive to buying a older possibly problematic dog elsewhere?
