health issue, possible dehydration?

I don't know if I was dehydrated or what either way. I was at work and I was making somebody a soda, and for like 3 seconds my eyes blacked out and I couldn't see for a few seconds. Then I had a bad headache for awhile, and I felt really weak. So I drank some water but then I had really bad cold chills. So that's why I think it was dehydration. But It was kind of scary having myself go blind for those few seconds and the headache was really bad and it was just terrible. Anybody know what else it could have been and if you think it was just dehydration, how do I prevent it. Because I think I drink enough but I might not.
