Health insurance is required to cover birth control with no copays

"this is why mah healf curr is so durn expensive herp derp!!!"

Uh, no. In a perfect world this would lower premiums. Unfortunately the insurance companies will figure out a way to use this as an excuse to raise them. But that's their greed causing the problem

What proof is it that this will reduce the nuraber of births?

This isn't giving free birth control to unemployed minorities that reproduce like rabbits.

This is giving it for free to those that have coverage and one could assume can afford a whole $20 a month for a copay.

I work in enrollment for a large health insurance company. Comparing auto insurance to health insurance is apple to oranges. There are many type of complicated plan/products for health insurance, but typically auto insurance covers for accidents.

Health insurance is more about managing a person's health. Proactive care in wellness and preventative care now will assist in a person living healthier which reduces his/her cost of health down the road. The return on investment for these wellness/preventative care helps reduce the MLR for insurance companies which will in turn reduce premiums for group policies.

You assume all health plans cover birth control. You're wrong. Not all health plans cover birth control. I can tell you American Airline employees does not have any birth control coverage policy in their health plan. Employees are responsible for the full price of it.

as long as it reduces the amount of medicaid births.

its ridiculous how many people keep coming in to pop out children and cant even pay the medicaid co-pay
