Ok currently I have insurance through my employer, which is Walmart. Currently my bi-weekly payroll decuctions are $91 and some change. My 2011 medical benefits would increase to a little over $94.
A friend of mine gave me the contact info of an insurance agent...and the agent was able to find me a plan thats $138 per month which would roughly cost me a little more than $1,656 a year. Under Walmart's plan I'm currently paying a little more than $2,366 a year.
My only concern is that I wanna drop Walmart's insurance and go with that offer, but I just don't know if I can afford to do so at the moment, and I only have a short time to make a decision about dropping them or not....so idk what to do....I'm not sure if I can currently afford to be paying all the taxes and deductions and the current insurance deductions at Walmart then paying typical bills....
Please offer me some help..I have until November 11, 2010 to decide to keep Walmart's plan or drop them.
I have already applied for the coverage that the agent found for me through United Health Care. The agent said that being my age, 23 and in healthy condition than the chances are very likely that I'd be approved for the coverage. The agent said that United Health Care is asking that I pay the first months premiums now and that if in any event they decide not to offer me coverage than the payment will be returned to me. The $138 per month is how much the agent said my premiums would be if United decided to offer me coverage.
