Health care in the UK?

I just wanted to know what do people think of the health care they receive in the UK. Is it quality care?
Im from the US and im one of the millions of people here that dont have insurance. Now I had recently left my job because i was overworked and the health insurance offered was pretty bad and expensive. Now i am sick and paying consults, its so expensive. I even went to the county hospital which is always full of people who are not receiving quality care like me. Then they send you these huge hospital bills that almost leave you bankrupt. Thats why I wanted to hear from you guys and your take.
 
i dont think there are anything that would be considered bad quality health care over hear, although we recieve it free, it is still upto the same standards and regulations as anywere else, and everyone usually gets what they need.

plus we dont get ripped off by the extortionate US medical prices for medication, it's cheap even if you had to pay for it hear.

it would cost each american a fraction of the amount of money you spend on health insurance, and the ones that couldnt pay wouldnt have to.
