My friend recently put windows xp pro on my compaq presario pc that came with vista basic. The pc is about 3 years old i dont have the pc model number on me atm. Anyway after i switched from vista to xp my mic wasent working on ventrilo anymore it sounds like a screaming white noise that makes everyone on vent yell at me lol, and on counter strike condition zero it sounds like that and also sounds like its picking up other peoples mic's in the server or maybe the radio.The audio wont play threw the headset either. I can get audio threw my pc speaks and sub but not threw the headset, i have tried both front and back ports for mic and headphones. I dont know whats wrong if its my mother board or if its the audio drivers, im also pretty sure my pc has intergrated sound not a sound card. Any help would be great i really dont wanna have to take my pc to best buy or a pc shop to get it fixed, i just wanna get back to gaming
