Headset issues, when I have the balance set to 0 the headset at max volume

is so quiet i can't hear anything,? but when i set the balance to 3 or more on either side it starts working perfectly.... it also works perfectly when i do a sound test with my audio manager..... help i want to be able to use my headset without having mess with the balance
also when the balance i set at 0, in the realtek hd audio manager, it will play the windows sounds normal but everything sounds super quiet and shittastic
