One flaw in the plot of this potential film.

Skeletor has created a technological army and plans to wipe out Magic????

Wasn't Skeletor always trying to use magic to steal He-Man's sword.

I hate it when Hollywood messes with these things...

I would not believe that plot that you have read for a He-Man film as this was on the Moviehole website about the film moving studio:

"Not surprisingly, since the project has been gathering powder on Joel Silver

Yes a movie based on the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe cartoon would be great. I know there was one made in 1987, but this wasn't that good I thought and there where a few classic MOTU characters missing in the film, including Orco. Plus that film wasn't true to the original cartoon series at all.

I'd love to see a new He-Man film strictly based in Eternia, perhaps featuring how Prince Adam first became He-Man, something like that would be good, as this wasn't properly explained in the original 1983-1985 series.

Yeah and they could get that guy from 300 to play He-Man and Man-At-Arms played by Jack Black. She-Ra could be Megan Fox perhaps but I think battle cat would have to be CGI and not puppet based or a real lion as I think that would look fake.

Yeah I think that's why Orko didn't appear in the first MOTU film, because the methoRAB available to them would have looked fake, although it worked well for Slimer in Ghostbusters :)

Having She Ra in the new He-Man film would be a great idea. I've always thought She Ra has been ignored and sidelined over the years since the Filmation cartoon series was made in 1985-1987. She was never mentioned in the recent He-Man cartoon in 2002. If She Ra appeared then they would also have to bring in Hordak and the members of the Horde Prime perhaps to serve as a rival to Skeletor and his men, as seen in the original cartoon series.

You've got to remember the 1987 movie was produced by Cannon films - responsible for B movies such as Death Wish 3 and 4,and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

No way could that company afford decent special effects, which is why there was no Orko,Battlecat and not much Eternia as well as other popular characters missing.

The problem with any He-man movie is there isn't much workable source material apart from a bunch of cool characters with amusing names.I feel it can only be done if they implement some fresh ideas (e.g Skeletor's technology vs the magic of Eternia etc).

Some company will make one someday.

But that storyline is preposterous, Skeletor was a Warlock - He would undoubtedly be on the side of magic rather than technology.

@ Doughnut: When you say 'that guy out of 300', you do mean the dude telling the story to the troops don't you & not Leonidas?

Jack Black as man at arms? haha, since when was man at arms a comedy char? JB would be better suited as the voice of Orco. And don't even get me started on Megan Fox as She-Ra, She's meant to be attractive - Megan fox is highly over-rated.
