He hasn't texted me after out date... bad news?

I went on a date with a guy yesterday, although I was very shy I still kissed him and I thought he had a good time... I mean I was basically on him in the movie haha
Anyway he texts me right after I leave and asks why my dad was giving him this weird look and I told him that my dad is weird and to forget about it and I had a good time. He said me too and we should do it again and I said yes definitely and he said he couldn't wait

was he just being nice? idk im paranoid this is my very first date haha please help!!!

btw he didn't pay for me... wasn't he supposed to? lol movies
 
Not all guys are traditional when it comes to paying, and he also might have been broke. I wouldn't get too worried about that. If it's just been a day, and he said he had a good time, I wouldn't worry about it. He's probably been busy, and he doesn't want to seem desperate by calling or texting you right away. Just relax, because he's definitely going to call you.
