First i would like to say this is my first post and this forum is awsome. I have been on this website for a few months now, but just recently registered. All i do is read read read on flashing phones to cricket. Now i need some help.

I have a motorola q fully flashed to cricket, i just loaded the 1050 prl. wap and mms works blah blah. Anyways my problem is ( i have spent alot of time trying to find the answer myself with no avail)

Im trying to get the evdo working. Im in the El Paso area.

I read the other thread about getting the evdo working for the q. But my problem is

im trying to edit the

/nvm/motnv/cdma1x
/nvm/nvm/nvm_hdr
/nvm/nvm/nvm_data

files via a hex editor. I have NO problem copying the cdma1x file to my computer. BUT when i try and get the _hdr file and the _data file they wont transfer to the computer. Im using the Efs explorer in qpst and i so tired of trying to figure out what to do. Is there some type of lock on these files on the phone? How come they wont transfer?

ANy help is much obliged.

when i try and transfer the file to the computer it says this request cannot be be performed. Is it possible to use bitpim to read the files and extract it using bitpim instead of qpst?

Does bitpim work with the q?

frustrated

ps i think i may have read somewhere there are locks on certain files. Is that true?

my thing is i it may just be sprint.... i have a verizon and i wrote to phone with no probs i kno everytime i read one of thoose files and saved it after editing to put the fles nback on i would have to klose qpst all together the server and everything unplug the phone... plug it back up restart qpst then write the files... u might want to try that

There is a file that unlocks this. Search EV HDR settings or something like that. I had this prob and found it somewhere on hofo. search......
